Andrei in the office

signs of acclimation!!!!

Tonight I sent in my RSVP for the LJ Meetup

I am happy that I know or have come in contact with about 10% on the list. (About 5 of 50) This is a good number because looking at Pittsburgh, I only recognzied 1 name on the list of 32 out there.

Now granted, I went to the Pittsburgh LJ Bash at carnival this past year. So that was fun unto itself. We had LJ'ers from Pgh, L.A., D.C. Boston.

It ruled ;) And the hosts of the party didn't even realize the number of LJ'ers that would be there ;)

I'm listed as a 'host' for the L.A. LJ Meetup.

Okay, damn it...

I'm listening to an 80's feed. It's called club 977 on iTunes (and the rest of you non-mac folk can get to it at their site.

So, I find myself slamming my head against a wall.. (Well as much as one can wall slam to Toto's Africa.) See, they just played, "Silent Running (On dangerous Ground) by Mike and the Mechanics. The video and lyrics suggest that the song is off the soundtrack to a sci-fi movie. And a really good looking one from the appearance/sound.

So.. my quandry... I can't find ANY information if said movie ever existed. It's like finding DVD's of "WOSAT" or Sountracks to "The Coca Cola Kid."

I put it to my journal. Does ANYONE know anything about this famed theoretical movie?!?!?!?

We return you to your previously scheduled LJ

It's time for the Friday Five (http://fridayfive.org)!!!

Friday Five Pict

1. Where were you born?
Well, I guess I have to own up to it sooner or later. I was born in Trenton, New Jersey

2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not?Move back there. Um.. In a word, "No." In two, "Hell, no!" in Three, "No F***in' way" (Should I continue?)

3. Where in the world do you feel the safest?
Amongst good friends

4. Do you feel you are well-traveled?
More than some, less than some. I've lived all over Pennsylvania, and since then I've also lived in Holland, Louisiana (URK!?!?) and now live in Southern California. Some other places I've visited for more than a drive thru: San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Juan Capistrano, Las Vegas, Chicago, Asheville, Miami, Orlando, Greenville, Pennsic, New York City, Boston, Buffalo, the Virgin Islands and Cancun!

5. Where is the most interesting place you've been?
Bowie.. I think it was Nevada. Driving cross-country for the second time, I needed to make a rest area stop. We pulled off the highway into a little town called Bowie. When I drive I tend to wear a medaeval peasant shirt and my SCA belt. The Pub was shaped like a giant Teepee. No one inside looked Native American. The woman at the bar gestured me to the rest room. When I came out they asked me where the 6-shooters were for my belt. I chuckled, left, and drove very fast.
