Well, it's been 6 months since Genetics kicked me in the nuts and made it completely obvious to me that aiden_freeman is undoubtably 'of my loins'

So, now at 18 months...it's time to take a look at some of the other genes. I've pulled out the old photo of me and this time added in one of jnanacandra

I posted last year at the end of September (with aiden_freeman barely a month old) about how many people had told me that Aiden and I looked alike.

I have to admit.. I didn't see it that well. Maybe a hint here or there.

Well, in the comparison, I had to mirror and tilt an image of a 25 day old baby and place it against the picture of a child that was roughly 18 months.

It's a year later. Aiden is on the verge of 14 months. He has hair and eyebrows now. His eyes are now a deep, dark brown. He's growing into his face.

So let's take a look at a more recent picture in comparison:

Passing by the lobby of my office building I needed to stop myself because I thought I saw someone I didn't expect to see at my office.

It wasn't exactly him... But I swear this person was the genetic 1/2 morph of tedgill and azadio

I'm pretty sure that neither has ever met each other and that only a few people from Portland or Seattle could say they know both :)

Many people have told me how much Aiden and I look alike. I suppose it is genetic that you can't see your own face in a baby. fiannaharpar has told me that she doesn't see herself in her daughter either.

ON the other hand... almost EVERYONE will tell you that you are on crack and how much you look like your baby.

Some of you know that I am an amateur genealogist. I dug thru the files and found "a picture"

I have to admit.. for comparison sakes.. yes.. I see a resemblance. But some things to note (IMHO)
1) Aiden's picture is a mirror
2) I am 18 months to 3 yrs old in the picture (no clue for sure)
3) I tend to think that all babies look fairly similar.

( So... clicky clicky beyond the cuttie cuttie (Oh that was just obnoxious) )
